no audio

I'm having the same problem that I've seen posted a number of times on here.
Im capturing video from my analoge camcorder just fine, but its not picking
up the audio. I confirmed it isn't picking up audio because when i play my
clips back in media player, theres no sound. I'm using normal av cables and
have the composite box checked as well as Line in. Still no sound, I've
tried everything. My computer also has another movie program and I've had no
problem using sound.

Any ideas?

I have the same problem(s) while using my Sony Handycam Hi8 camcorder.
I checked a lot of websites...no info found.
Can someone help us please !

I have the same problem.

MM recognizes my JVC mini DV connected via firewire no problem. But when it
comes to capturing video from my Dell Movie Studio analog capture card I get
no audio. My analog capture card works fine with Snapstream's BeyondTV
software.

I went to tools -> options -> compatibility and unchecked all the filters,
but I still get the pesky "Unspecified Error" message every time I try to
capture. Do any of you MM gurus out there have any helpful advice...
