No audio with 6.2

I have read with interest the problems with lack of audio with MSN
messenger. I too, have a similar problem. I have deactived all firewalls
and tried most all other hints and suggestions posted here. My DSL
modem/router is a 2-wire hpna Homeportal 1000s. I think my problem is a
non upnp compliant modem/router however when contacting the Home-Portal
help desk I get a big Huh!. They say I have the latest firmware and that's
it. So, does anyone have a suggestion or work around to a non compliant
router/modem

This is the Windows XP Messenger group -- MSN Messenger 6.x was specifically designed to work
on Windows XP, the question is perfectly valid.
