No Audio on DVD-RAMs via PowerDVD XP 4.0

I have just reinstalled my Windows XP Home system.

I used to be able to play DVD-RAMs (recorded from a Panasonic ES system) via my LG DVDRAM GSA-4040B using Cyberlink's PowerDVD XP 4.0.

Since reinstallation, however, PowerDVD replays the video of the DVDRAMs but with no audio.

Any ideas on what codec I might be missing or what conflict might have arisen by now having Windows Media Player 11 (and K-Lite Codec Pack) installed on my system?

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I used to have problems with Power DVD, mostly not being able to play dvds :(
I think you need a codec pack that you had installed before you reinstalled windows.
hmm...
have you tinkered with power DVDs configuration?

Thanks Alf. Yes, I had spent quite some time combing through all the codecs that used to be on my machine but to no avail. But ........... I was just given a present of PowerDVD Version 7 and my problem is solved. Thanks again anyway.
