No Audio Device for HP Pavilion dv5000?

I installed Vista today on my HP Pavilion dv5000. All went well except that
I don't have any sound. The device manager does not see the sound card...
Any advice?
 
HP does not appear to have any Vista drivers yet so you may have to wait. I
don't know if the Windows XP drivers would work or not. I'm using XP drivers
for my scanner and my printer, but Vista has a new sound architecture so XP
drivers probably wouldn't work. You might try contacting HP, maybe they have
some beta drivers that I'm not finding.
 
Run windows update. Windows update installed my conexiant AC Link audio
drivers.
