no "Administrator" icon

Hi there,

When I tap F8 and go into Safe Mode, and at the logon screen there is no
"Administrator" icon or user.... there's only a username "Gary".

How do I enable it to have Administrator coming up?

Thanks,

Gordon

Gordon:

During the Vista install you are asked to create one user that will be
the administrator of the computer. If you called that user "Gary,"
then this is your administrator. You cannot remove this account and it
will always be the account visible when in Safe Mode. I haven't tried
this yet, but if you create more administrator accounts, these may
also show up in safe mode, and perhaps you can then also delete the
initial administrator account.

If the account that you normally logon with is an administrator account,
this will be the only account that shows up in Safe Mode. If you happen to
delete all of your administrator accounts, or convert them all to standard
accounts, then the built-in administrator account will show up in Safe Mode.
The built-in administrator account is hidden, by default, when Vista is
installed. This account should not be used except in an emergency. There is
nothong you can do in safe mode with the built-in admin account that you
cannot do with your normal admin account.
