No Admin Rights

How can I overcome the obstacle of not having admin rights to install or
download on a "Work" PC? Recently assigned a new PC, however, I can not
reload my personal programs I'd previously used in order to complete my
assignments. Can not go through my "Administrator"

Hi,

If the programs are necessary to your job, then the network administrator
should have no problem in installing them. Otherwise, in most companies,
installing unapproved software could be grounds for immediate termination.
To answer your question, you need admin privileges to install in a WinXP
environment - period.

Reinstall the OS, or obtain a software utility to bypass the password.
Then start looking for a new job, if your employer has any sense.

Consult your IT department concerning getting elevated privileges on
the computer. Consult your immediate supervisor about not being able to
perform your work unless you're allowed to install your personal
software on the computer. Consult the HR department about the
consequences (usually termination with no eligibility for unemployment
benefits) of not following your employer's policies regarding the use of
the employer's property.
