What is an NNTP and how do I get it if my ISP does not even know what it is?
 
NNTP = Network News Transport Protocol.

If my ISP didn't know what it meant - I'd seriously consider getting a new
ISP.

If you want the news server address for the Microsoft newsgroups, try using
msnews.microsoft.com in your news client (OE or other)
