NIS Automatic Liveupdate options problem

Using NIS, I go into Norton Internet Security options and into the
Liveupdate tab. There I enable automatic liveupdate and check all the
boxes to monitor updates to Personal firewall, Intrusion Detection,
norton Antispam, Parental control. When I save these and go back into
these options again I always find that the box for Intrusion Detection
is un-checked. I have tried to do this numerous times, and checked/un-
checked the other options in this tab in varying patterns, but always
get the same problem - monitoring of Intrusion Detection updates is
swirtched off when I go back to this tab. Now this is not a terrible
problem because I run LU manually from time to time in any case, but can
anyone tell me what to do to keep this option enabled? Intrusion
Detection itself is switched on, no problem, it's just that automatic LU
is not, apparently, monitoring for updates to I.D.
