A one-handed joypad, looking suspiciously like a remote control, has been unveiled by Nintendo. The revolutionary joypad can be used as a virtual sword, sports racket, and so on, made possible by motion sensors which translate the motion into gameplay. For users who find this concept strange, they will be able to connect it to the familiar thumb-controlled joypad.

This piece of kit was revealed by the boss of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata at the Tokyo Game Show.
