Nikon scanner availability online

On some of the major camera sites, it looks like the Nikon film scanners
are sold out. Does this typically happen around Christmas or could this
mean that new models are about to be released?

There's limited availability of the LS-9000, in particular. It's been
going on for years. It doesn't signify anything , as far
as I can tell.

You can "register" at the BH website to be notified by email
when any particular item comes back in stock.
