I have set up a Quick- launch button for a folder 'ROOT' which targets
e:\root. When it opens it shows the subfolders of ROOT. All is well. Usually
at this stage I click(step 2) on 'Folders' icon to show the directory
structures of the system(on left hand side).BUT what I would really like is
to have the window open from quick-launch and see what I'm getting without
having to go thro' step 2. Any advice appreciated. Thx.

Hello Mani,

Try this:

Right-clcik on the shortcut in the Quick Launch toolbar, and clcik on
'Properties'.
In the Target field, replace what's there with (copy/paste):

%systemroot%\explorer.exe /e,/n,E:

Works a beauty ! THANKS!

Thanks Mani,

The group I'm posting in hasn't been notifying me of new posts for two
weeks now - something is messed up. I'm having to search old posts for
updates.

Anyhoo - glad you got it sorted.
