I just got DSL and was wondering on my A7N8X Deluxe board if I had my NIC
card set right Duplex-Auto select, boot PROM enabled, media type - auto
select. Sorry for the newbie question.. Thanks for the help

If that is the default setting, then it should work fine.

He does not need to have the Boot Prom enabled. This option is used when
network administrators set up a PC without any floppy/hard/CD Rom drives
(Diskless PC). It would provide the system a method of booting without a
drive. Since this is for a standard Windows PC, he has a drive to boot
from.

Hi,
Most of NIC does not physically have PROM chip anyway.
