Nic Drivers keep reinstalling at boot

Running into an unusual problem. Working with a HP
lp2000r netserver with dual nics (intel chipset). Had
special software installed that allowed adapter teaming
on the nics. I removed it and now every time the system
boots it redetects the nics, but shows them in the device
manager as not configured (yellow I). I tried adding a
different NIC (3com pci) and it does the same thing for
that, reinstalls at every boot but doesn't show as
working in the device manager. My network properties
shows as empty.

Anyone have any thoughts or ideas? I've tried removing
the drivers and installing new ones for the nics, no
dice. I removed all the adapter teaming software, no
help. Even tried working with the registry to remove
references to HP 10/100TX but no help there.

It sounds like you have done everything I would have tried. You might want
one, remove all the number (Uninstalling the devices). Make sure you also
show the hidden devices to ensure you are removing all the drivers. Then
power off and physically remove the nics or disable in bios. Then reboot.
Then re-add the nics, and then allow them to be re-detected and add the
basic drivers.
