I have a machine running Windows 2000 with a NIC card.
About once a month my NIC card will disappear from Network
Neighborhood.
If I turn the computer off, switch, reconfigure the NIC
settings it works again for another month or so (but it
does give the error The IP address XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX you
have entered for this network adapter is already assigned
to another adapter Name of adapter. Name of adapter is
hidden from the network ..... which I did figure out how
to get rid of.
