I have a hard drive that is NFTS. i have just added a second one that is
FAT32. does that interfere or affect the working of the computer in any
way? will i have problems if I move files (personal. not system files) from
my NFTS to my FAT32?

No, no problems at all having different file systems on different
partitions.

Just don't try to copy a file greater than or equal to 4GB to the FAT32
drive; FAT32 has a 4GB file size limit.

Absolutely not.

Absolutely not.

Windows XP supports any and all combinations of NTFS, FAT32,
FAT16, and FAT12, regardless of what file system it itself is
installed on.

Realize that every time you move files from a diskette to the
hard drive, or vice-versa, you're doing essentially the same
thing--going from FAT (in this case, FAT12) to NTFS (or
vice-versa).

There are some issues the others haven't mentioned. Files on the FAT32
partition can't be encrypted by XP nor will you be able to restrict
access to them with the same granularity as NTFS.

No, you'll have no problems. WinXP can read FAT12 (the file system
used on 3.5" diskettes), FAT16, FAT32, CDFS (the file system used on
most CDs), and NTFS with equal facility. Further, the file system on
any one disk/partition or diskette has absolutely no affect upon the
operating system's ability to read other compatible file systems on
other disks/partitions.

NTFS is just plain better. Large file support the biggest tangible
advantage. Ever see a blue screen of scandisk? ...second reason for NTFS.

I recommend FAT with formating with NTFS. (Back up or move files first.)

No - you can mix types of file system freely. Files are not affected;
think of it as having two offices, one modern drop file cabinets, the
other old box files on shelves. You can move letters between them
