nforce tray problem

my mp3's sounded a little different so i checked the eq in the nforce tray
and saw it was set to flat, Im assuming thats from updating the sound
drivers, I did that via windows update, says... NVIDIA corp. multimedia
software released Dec. 23 2003.

so now when I load up the nforce tray the speaker output levels no longer
move and the eq. sliders arent moving as you check each preset, I think they
used to?

anyone else heard of this? its on an A78NX deluxe. looking through my
windows update history looks like the last one I grabbed was from Sep. 08
and that worked fine.

This happens with the MS update.
You need to install a different version directly from Nvidea

This same thing happened to me when I use Windows Update for the nForce
drivers. I uninstalled them and went to NVIDIA site and re-installed the
latest from there and they work fine. I am just leaving the Windows Update
version alone. HTH
