Pretty much any 32-bit software that is already multiuser aware (e.g.,
stores settings in personal registry keys or folders) will work
out-of-the-box. The current Mozilla-family newsreaders should work; I
haven't tried any others (such as Gravity or Agent) so I don't know about
any special configuration needs for those.
Had to check before I responded, arno - sorry about the delay!
I used Mozilla Thunderbird 0.7.0.0. The one glitch is that although it
created a Thunderbird folder under All Users/Start Menu/Programs, it did NOT
add a shortcut to the application. Other than that, it worked fine.
I'd like to know how you installed that programm on the TS.
I read on the mozilla homepage that if the access to the
programm-folder is limited, a user with access rights (=admin) should
be the first to open the programm. So, "change user /install", run the
installation and then? Did you as an admin open the programm?
Yes. I actually did a reboot, then opened it as an admin in normal /execute
mode, and finally tested for some normal user accounts. It sounds like it
does some application-wide final configuration.

Additionally I found that I can create new identities with the
possibility to define another path (e.g. user's home drive) for the
Thunderbird-profile when I start "thunderbird.exe -p" as a User.
Otherwise the Thunderbird-profile is in the Windows-profile which I do
not like because mail/news-files can be very big.
