Is this a private as well as public news group? I purchased technet and have
yet
to find the private news groups.

Any help would be most aprreciated.

Usenet, as a structure, is not Private, at least not what most people
can access. Usenet does provide for hosts to create private groups that
the public an not access.

In addition to the Public Usenet groups that your ISP may carry,
Microsoft has their own Usenet server (I think, or they use too).

The private Microsoft newsgroups are part of your package if advertised as
so. There is one for MVPs but I do not know if TechNet subscribers have
access to that. Nor Universals but maybe. These newsgroups here are public
hence the name of the Newsgroups.
