Newsgroup Syncronisation

I have subscribed to folders in the Microsoft Community as well as some
others through my local ISP. The question is that they never syncronise
without me having to go click on the folder for them to refresh.
I have even overridden the connection option to connect through the lan.
Can anyone give me any clues why they shouldnt be syncronising.... the mail
seems to be working fine.... just the newsgroups arent.

Thanks

John.

Hi, you can add a button to the top Toolbar called "Sync All", using that
button will do what you require.
View>Layout>customise toolbar.

To enable Auto Sync of Newsgroup accounts go to Tools>Accounts>select each
Account in turn>properties>General Tab, you will see a check box "to include
this account when checking for new messages", it will check at intervals set
at Tools>options>general.

I prefer the "Sync All" button method.

Just another possibility?

Click on the Server name in the folder list and ensure that you have ticked
each newsgroup box, and set the Synchronisation setting that you require?

I think many people prefer the default option with "Hide read messages"
set so one doesn't have to see what has already been read. It stays as
it is until you change groups that way.
