Confused over newsgroup syncronisation

Hi Folks

If you right click a newsgroup the following options are shown

* Don't Syncronize
* All Messages
* New messages only
* Headers only

I understand the difference betweeen: All Messages, New messages only and
Headers only.

But I am baffled how these are implimented in Windows Mail.

With the deafult option "Don't Syncronise" selected, when you click on a
news group it still pulls down new posts. I would expect nothing to happen.

So is this correct:

With don't Syncronize selected: Only when you click on a newsgroup the
last 300 messages are downloaded.
With a sync option selected: Even if you dont click on the newsgroup
the newsgorup contents is download (syncronized)

Can someone please clafiry?

I think I have this sorted.

If you click on a subscribed news group it will get the last 300 headers
from the forum regardless of what synchronize option is selected.

If you are subscribed to say 2 newsgroups one configured with the
synchronisation type of "all messages" and the other to "Don't Synchronize"
when you click tools/synchronize only the first group will sync.

I suppose if you have say 20 groups that you wanted to access off-line then
this would be useful.
