Is anyone else having problems using the search feature in
this newsgroup? It doesn't seem to be working.

umm... "this newsgroup" can be accessed from Microsoft's webpage, from
Outlook Express, from Agent, from AOL... The newsgroup doesn't have a
search feature; some of the news*readers* which connect to the group
do.

Try going to http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search. This site
is an archive of all of Usenet for decades, including all the
microsoft.public groups. It's a couple of days sometimes before posts
make it to the archive, but for anything other than up to the minute
use it's excellent.

Hi jms,

in what way is it not working?

Are you using the Microsoft website:
microsoft.public.access.formscoding?

Are you using the Microsoft website:
microsoft.public.access.formscoding?

nitpick:

microsoft.public.access.formscoding IS NOT A WEBSITE. It's a NNTP
newsgroup, part of Usenet - and Usenet has been around a lot longer
than the World Wide Web or any websites.

The Microsoft website

http://support.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.aspx

is one of the tools that can be used to view and post messages on the
newsgroup. Outlook Express is another such tool; Gravity is another;
Free Agent or Agent (http://www.forteinc.com) is my preference.

Sorry for the rant but this is a very common misconception; I'd like
people to realize that the Web is just a metaphor, not the whole
computer world!

Thanks John, I'm happy for you to nipick.... I must admit
that when I hit the send button I realised my mistake in
the address which I took from the Post new message form
rather than the web address box. But there's no 'recall'
<ahhhh>

Cheers
