When I try to send a post to a newsgroup via Verizon newsgroups or any other
newsserver like motzarella or aioe the message stays in my outbox but I see
it posted multiple times on the newsgroup.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

What if any antivirus programs do you have, and have you ever had a
Norton or McAfee antivirus program on that computer, even a trial
version? Some such programs tend to cause an assortment of
problems in Windows Mail, although seldom immediately.

Also, do you get any error messages when posting to newsgroups?
If so, right click on them and copy the entire error messages to your
next message.

Norton is one of he three antivirus programs that are least compatible
with Windows Mail. As a minimum, you must turn off any email
scanning in Norton. Sometimes that is not sufficient, and Norton will
have to be uninstalled. Follow that up with their debris removal tool:

If you like, we can recommend a compatible free antivirus to be used
as a replacement.

Alternatively, you can upgrade to Windows Live Mail, which is less
prone to corruption from antivirus activity.

Is McAfee compatible? And Yes, I would like to know about the free antiVirus
programs.

The top three troublemakers for Windows Mail are Norton, McAfee,
and Trend Micro. After you uninstall McAfee, be sure to follow up
with there debris removal tool:
http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=107083&lc=1033

Acceptable free replacement antivirus programs are:
AVG free edition:
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0?prd=aff
or
Avast free edition:
http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

With either of those, during the install phase you must select custom
install, and then deselect the email scanning option.

Thank you for all your information
