newsgroup button gone missing

Now my newsgroup button periodically appears under the Go
menu (and then dissapears). On the rare occasions that I
click it, it opens a folder on my harddrive:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\SYSTEM\MSMAPI\1033

I would be grateful if a representative would mail me at
j.w@<NO_SPAM_PLEASE>zoom.co.uk

There is still no more News icon under the Customize
option on the standard bar (under Go).

Make sure Outlook Express is set as the default newsreader in Control
Panel-> Internet Options-> tab Programs
