Mozilla 1.5a

Have they ever fixed the authentication bug, where some servers would
continuously ask you for user/pass? What an annoyance that is.

Just learned in another thread that Moz 1.6 final is out.

Yeah, but hardly worth mentioning in this thread. Have you seen this?

- Another frequently requested MailNews feature, a preference for
placing the user's signature above the quoted text, has been added.

Two thumbs down. Excellent Browser/Mail suite, but *never* will I
recommend it for news until this is removed.

My 2 cents...

Why would you be opposed to a product that gives its users a choice?

Because this is one choice that users shouldn't be given. It's wrong on
so many levels. Mainly, it interferes with proper quoting netiquette.

You want this functionality, use OE.

Right or wrong, many newsgroups use top posting. That's the way it is, like
it or not. And many Mozilla users wanted the choice to have their sigs
placed above the quoted text. Mozilla listened and gave them that choice.
Nobody is forced to use it.

Hmmm. Not the ones that I subscribe to. You must mean the microsoft.*
hierarchy?

Doesn't affect me in the least.

That doesn't make it a *good thing*.
Nobody is forced to use it.

....but, they will.
