News posts not sending

I had an issue with Vista this morning, it wiped out my Thunderbird mail
and Windows Mail newsgroups. After setting up the usenet server
(msnews.microsoft.com) again and resubscribing to the Vista groups, I
tried posting several messages. Later in the day I come back to check on
the threads, and my messages are not there. I check Google groups,
thinking it just wasn't showing in Windows Mail, and the posts weren't
there. I check sent messages and they are there. So, they went to sent
items, but were not sent.

So, I'm using Thunderbird to post here now, but I'd prefer to use
Windows Mail. Has anyone else had this issue, and did you resolve it?

Thanks!

It might be an intermittent server problem. I would test it again after the
weekend.

Yep, you are right. I was going through every setting and firewall settings
I could find. I could post with Thunderbird, though, so I thought is was
limited to Windows Mail (it might have been the communities function in
there)...

But, at least it's working again. Posting with WinMail again! :) I don't
mind Thunderbird (I LOVE Thunderbird Portable!), but I've gotten used to
Windows Mail lately. :)

Well, they are showing up in Windows communities on the MS website. I'll have
to check to see if a setting somewhere prevents me from seeing them in WM, or
if they were just delayed. :)

Weird.
