News Group Subscribing

I am trying to subscript to microsoft internet explorer general news
group. I can locate it on the subscription list but when I click on the
subscript button no check mark is placed in the box AND I do not get the
subscription in my list. What, if anything am I doing wrong or is set
wrong. I'm using Netscape as my browser. I have a number of other
newsgroups which are working fine.

Yes, that's it. And I found out what I was doing wrong. I was trying
to subscribe to the top level, not the individual newsgroup. Also I
needed to refresh the list. Now have a subscription.
