newest RD client changes name randomly when running saved link..

Hi all..

I "upgraded" to the latest RD client awhile back and have run into a
weird behaviour I can't figure out.

I saved a link to my home computer on my desktop here at work.. but
chose not to save the password..

Each time I open my shortcut, it prompts for username and password
(good). It seems though it randomizes what format it puts my
remembered username in each time I try and connect..

Half the time it uses
\my.ip.at.home\jdoe as the username, which works fine..

the rest of the time it uses
(e-mail address removed) as the username.. which doesnt work worth a damn
and I have to then reenter my uname/pass on the remote machine..

not a big deal or anything, just weird.. any explanations for fixes?

This is a known bug. See this FAQ:

You can remove the latest client through add/remove, make sure
you have Show Updates checked. It is listed as KB925876.
