newby: SBS server 2003 won't log onto its own domain

Hi I am a relative newbie.

I have a windows 2003 server box that won't log onto its own domain for the
purposes of the companyweb sharepoint file and web access.

I cannot "see" the sharepoint companyweb by logging in from the server box
but I can from any external client machine . Similarly for weboutlook.

The mail is readable from the server box through the normal outlook program.

Whenever I have the server box internet explorer point to the companyweb it
pops up the windows integrated service logon but does not accept any known
password. It allows me to surf the web and to access client computer s
normally.

The associated client computers show normal behaviour.

I've tried fiddling with IIS security for the default web site without luck.

I think it is a IIs problem rather than a Domain password problem. Any ideas
anyone.

Thanks Ed
