Newbie:Which hard drive is compatible?

Here is the Motherboard
Asus A8S-X ID 63-0501-000001-00101111-082605-SiS756$A0217001_
BIOS DATE: 08/26/05 10:36:58 VER: 08.00.10
MB Chipset SiS 756, AMD Hammer

I need to know if the following hard drives will work?

wd caviar SE (WD1600AAJS, SATA/300, 160GB, 8mb cache)
WD caviar SE16 (500AAKS, SATA300/NCQ, 500 GB, 16mb cache)
SAMSUNG Spinpoint P (SP2504C, SATA300/NCQ, 250GB, 8MB Cache)

I am trying to go 160BG [or higher would be better] to replace my POS
Maxtor 80BG drive which appears to be failing.

I understand from previous postings that this motherboard will work
with sata and pata, but is there a website which details what kinds of
drives/interfaces will work with my motherboard? I already did some
searches and even checked ASUS's website but it seems cryptic and
vague to me.

Thanks for the help.

Yep, all of them.

I prefer the samsungs myself.

Yes.

Yes, http://asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=15&l3=228&model=755&modelmenu=2

Yes, the critical bit for that question is

Storage/RAID
South Bridge: SiS965L
2 x UltraDMA 133/100/66/33
2 x Serial ATA, RAID 0, RAID1, and JBOD

That last line is the one that answers your question.
JBOD is just using the drive without RAID.

I would have thought 2 sata and 2 eide ? No?

He didnt mention the ide ports.

And that's 4 IDE drives on two IDE ports, plus 2 sata drives on 2 sata ports.
