Newbie - Save logon name ?

I am setting up laptops for our consultants with XPP for the first time

I am using an image to do this and the "default" administrator name is "IBM
USER"

I would like to make them logon with their network username and password,
not using the Welcome screen.

But no matter what I change the administrator name to, the logon name comes
up with "IBM USER"

Is there a way to save the logon name ?

It can be done through a group policy.

But these are standalone laptops - not connected to a domain

Any other ideas ?

Once they logon to the laptop using their username and password, a profile
will be created for that username. Unless you change the settings to not
remember the last username, the last person who logged in to the pc will
appear in the login prompt.
