newbie password question

Hi all,
I've got a question that is probably pretty simple. I'm trying to
tighten things up a bit on a friends win2k box and I can't seem to change
the Administrator account password. I'm going through ctrlpanel->user
accounts and then requiring that all users use a password to logon. There
are three accounts, Administrator, Guest and user. The user account
currently has admin priveledges and I'm trying to change the Administrator
password from there. When I change the Administrator password and then log
off and log back on as Administrator, it says that it can't log me on. I'm
assuming that the password is the culprit.
I've got a bunch of admin experience but all on UNIX so ...
Any ideas?

If you know the password for the administrator account you
should log on under that account. Then you can change the
password.
