newbie at formatting.

can someone plse help me. i am new to this reformatting h/drives. i need to
reinstall winxp on my laptop as it is very slow and not performing the way
it should. i want to start from scratch. i need to reformat my h/drive first
before installing winxp again. i am not to shore how to do this so i need
some help. where to start and what to do etc.

The XP installation CD is bootable and has the capability to format and
install clean. See this link for how to do it.
