Newbi... Bios Help Please?

It's been a few years since I last built a system and although my system is
working, I know its not configured correct (default settings).
Basically the Bios settings have lost me, Clock multipliers aren't as simple
as they used to be.
Example: Corsair says,
This memory has been verified to operate at 200MHz (DDR400) at aggressive
2-3-3-6 latency settings.
However I don't understand where and if I can load these setting.
Giving the information below, is there anywhere on the web I can get the
correct get bios setting for my individual needs, or more unlikely is anyone
here able to give bios settings advice.
I am NOT trying to overclock my system (maybe a little), so hopefully this
will simplify the question.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Abit IC7-C
Pentium4 3.2eGHz - 1mb L2 Cache, retail inc heatsink fan
Corsair 1GB TwinX PC3200 (2 X512MB) DDR400 dual channel
(Verified at 2-3-3-6)?

You cannot just go to any old motherboard website for the information you
seek because every motherboard is different. Usually a manual comes with a
motherboard, and in it are often displayed the BIOS screen pages and BIOS
descriptions of each of the settings on that screen page. Also a CD disk
often is supplied with the motherboard, and it will usually contain drivers.
In addition, the website for the manufacturer of the motherboard (apparently
Abit in your case) will contain the latest downloadable drivers, and may
also have an update for the BIOS, which is installed by re-flashing.

If you don't have a copy of the IC7 manual, I suggest downloading it:

(This assumes that you really have an IC7-G, not -C.)

For generic advice on BIOS settings,

(The free version should suffice.)

If you're not overclocking, you may be able to set the BIOS to use the RAM's
SPD settings.

Thanks for the reply Bob, and thanks for the links (very useful).
I do actually have an IC7-C, and yes, also have the manual.
Unfortunately the manual doesn't go into much detail and assumes your quite
proficient at setting up bios.
