new zip file extraction behavior

I noticed that after I applied the latest Microsoft security updates to my
Windows XP professional that I can no longer extract exe files from zip
files without them being blocked by the OS and that I must explicitly
unblock
each zip file. This really sucks. How do I turn this behavior off?
