I downloaded an audio book for my iPod, it arrived in zip format. When I
tried to unzip I got a windows message that "Windows has blocked access to
these files to help protect your computer". I know this file is ok! So, I
go to help and it tells me to right-click on the file and click unblock. I
did went to my computer, right clicked on the zip file, but there was no
"unblock" to click! How can I get this file unzipped?

Install a third party archive program such as IZArc and let that handle
your archives. You also get the added benefit of being able to access
other archives such as .rar.

A .zip file is a compressed version of a file or a collection of files,
as are files ending in the extension .arc, .rar, .lzh, .cab, lha, .tar,
just to mention a few. These compresed files are called archives and
each one uses a slightly different algorithm to perform the
compression.

The purpose of compression is to save on disk space and transmission
time between one computer and another.

To access the file or files contained in a archive you need a program
that will unpack the files and return them to their original form, that
being an executable file, a collection of text or word processing
documents, or graphics files etc.

IZArc is one of many archive utilities that will compress or decompress
these file, it gives you more options that ine one inclueded in XP.

You may like to look at the following linkes as it is a complex process

Thanks, that helped. I tried IZarc, but it came back with an error when I
tried to extract the folder... What other shareware is good for this?
