I performed a clean install from Home to Pro for networking. When I restart
the system I keep getting the messages for new hardware Video and IEEE Port.
I'm asked if I want to search the internet but don't know what I'm looking
for. How do I resolve and why is this appearing. Also I don't have any audio
how can I resolve?
Was I to do any type of back-up and would those files have worked with XP Pro?
New at this....

Thanks for your assistance!

If your computer was supplied with XP Home and is one of the major makes, it
will also have had drivers specific to the hardware installed.. you will
have to go back to the manufacturer website and pick up the drivers specific
to your model
...

Mike:

Thank you but how do you find out who the manufacturer is? PC was donated
with no information with it!

Try these programs.. both are free downloads, and will hopefully tell you
what hardware is installed.. you will have a better chance of getting
appropriate drivers.. both deliver much info on your system, and are well
worth the download time..
