Any tips on what to look out for during setting up a Wireless Network?

I have 3 pcs in a home workgroup network. Within a few days we are getting
a Laptop which obviously will join the network but because we are thinking
of limiting cables around the home, we have decided for a Wireless Network
connection ( to allow easy movement and working/internetting with the
Laptop).
Questions are:
1. Do I need to delete the entire (old) network connection before beginning
with the Wireless Network.
2. How different is a Wireless installation from the usual Cable
installation?
3. What are Major points to be careful or watch out for.

Is there a recommended site where things are explained fully.

thanks.

1. No. You may wish to disable the wired network controllers while you
configure and troubleshoot the wired network.

2. Very different. Be sure you review the instructions that come with the
router and the wireless adapters BEFORE YOU PLUG ANYTHING INTO ANYTHING.
Don't power up the router or connect any wireless network devices until you
are comfortable with the instructions.

3. Either of these sites have guides that may help:
