Have a web site, built without frames. Would like to have a hyperlink on the
page open a small pop-up type window with text and pictures.

Now if I click a hyperlink on the page, it jumps to the new location/page.
Would like to stay on the current page and just open another smaller window.

How is this done? Have looked in Help and KB with no luck.

You set the target of the hyperlink to _blank to open the link in a new
browser window. If you need additional control over the poppup, you can use
the spawn add-in from http://jimcosoftware.com/addins.aspx
