For the last two weeks I've been seeing more and more of our vpn user'
receiving the following error as a bubble dialog box in the syste
tray:

"Windows needs your current credentials. Please lock this computer
then unlock it using your most recent password or smart card. Pleas
click the icon to see more information."

The tray icon is a little bright green rectangle. When you click on th
icon, you get a warning prompt stating the following:

“Expired Credentials – Windows needs your current credentials to ensur
network connectivity. Please lock this computer, then unlock it usin
your most recent password or smart card. To lock your computer, pres
CTRL+ALT+DELETE, and then press ENTER.

If the user locks their computer or logs off and back on, it gives the
an authentication failure. The only way to get rid of the message is t
reboot the machine.

Any ideas? I've never seen this error before and can't find anythin
useful online.
