New to Access looking for tutorials....

I don't need this for anything, this is not a project or naything like
that..I would like, however, to learn how to use access, and was wondering if
there's a tutorial which would explain, step-by-step, the basics of using
access.
Again, I'm just trying to learn, and I'm just here "dipping my toes" into
something new...and if it makes any difference, I have Access 2003.
Thank you all for your help..

Access MVP, Oli Stohr has an excellent tutorial on Access 2007 on his
website:

Hi AI,

There are a lot of great tutorials out there, but if you really want to get
into Access I suggest finding a good book.

As someone who has 'self-taught' access and a ton of other technologies over
the years, I can confirm what is often said around here: it takes months or
even a year to really get your arms around developing in access.

I bought the Access Bible for version 2007 even though I'm still mostly
developing in 2003 due to work. Before that, I bought a great two-book set
called Access 2002 Developer's Handbook. I still use those a lot but, again,
I'm still working in 2003 mostly so most of what's in those books still
apply. I can't confidently say the same about 2007, though, but I would
think a lot of it still does apply.

Two other ways to learn that have been very helpful: 1. ask questions here.
There are lots of good developers here and they are very generous with their
time.

2. There are, both on microsoft's access site and other sites around the
net, a lot of 'sample' databases that do two things for you: A. Provide you
with specific solutions to specific problems that you can basically copy into
your own app (with some modifications, usually). B. Give you something to
open up and see how certain things are accomplished (or at least ONE way they
are accomplished). For me, that was very helpful.

Just thought I would throw out a few thoughts. Hope something there is
useful......just my opinions, though. Others may disagree.
