New tasks do not appear on Outlook '07 Start Page

I use the Outlook 2007 Today page that summarizes my calendar, tasks and
emails for me. I've created a number of new tasks and they do not appear on
the list, but are visible in my actual Tasks listing. Another problem is
that since they don't appear on the Today Page, I've noticed that they do not
sync with my phone now as well.

Has anyone experienced this issue?

Some background:
I recently created a new profile for Vista due to the Games for Windows Live
system not working properly under my old profile. So I reconfigured all my
applicates and such. I have not run a repair or reinstalled the application
yet, I was thinking it was a simple setting somewhere that was hanging me up.

Odd, if I am viewing my inbox and use the expanded "New" button in the top
left the Tasks I created there do not appear on my Today page and don't sync
to my phone.

If I am in my Tasks view and create new from there, they work fine.
