new tasks appear with strikethroughs, how do I change this?

After 24 hours, active tasks appear with strikethroughs. How do I change
this from happening?
 
Understood, however I have not completed the task nor marked it as complete.
It appears to be this task only. THe strikethrough is only evident if
selcted as a part of the 'To-Do List' in Current View. Onc ehte view is
changed to 'Active Tasks' in the Current View, the strikethrough diappears.

What To-Do view settings do you have?
 
The view is customized. Which setting would be of the most interest? By the
by, in the 'To-Do' bar, the task also appears as strikethrough.

Reset the view to its default settings and see if that makes a difference.
