Hello all,
Planning on constructing the following system as soon as tax return$
arrives...

MSI K8T Neo-Fis2R
Athlon 64 3200+
Mushkin - Level One 2x512 DDR400 PC3200
2x 36gig 10k rpm Western Digital SATA hard drives
Thermaltake Xaser III case
A+Gpb ATX 450w power supply
Zalman CNPS700A cpu cooler
MSI FX5900-VTD128 video

I plan on moving my Audigy card, cd-rw drive and dvd drive over from my
current system as well. I was wondering if anyone knows of any glaring
hardware compatibility issues with the system I'm proposing here. I have'nt
been able to use my Audigy for quite a while now without using Kx drivers,
and I was never really satisfied with that as a fix.
I'd also like to hear your ideas on disc configs, as I've never used a SATA
drive, or a raid setup before for that matter. What kind of options do I
have anyway? Is it best to boot to SATA, run programs from SATA, and just
use your ide drive(s) for storage? I still have an 80gig drive thats
relatively new I'd like to keep using.
Sorry for rambling, but I'm driving myself nuts reading reviews and
whatnot, wanted some live feedback...
thanks

A+Gpb ATX 450w power supply

I've never had one, but from a couple reviews I saw, it appeared OK
compared to a name-brand 300W, but a weak 5V rail for a ~ 450W rating,
you can do better in 400W+, like Antec or Sparkle, etc. Even
Thermaltake/Enlight 420W is better, though those have sleeve bearing
fans that I'd replace.

Thanks for the info, I was considering the Thermaltake anyway...
