New System Build help needed !!!!!

O

On Holidays

When the AMD X2 CPUS come out iam going to get the 4200 or the 4600
cpu. The thing is iam not sure what board to get. Ive got a an Agp
6600 Gt video card so a PCIE board is not realy wanted but the newer
939 boards are all PCIE boards right ?

As it wont upgrading for maybe 3 or 4 months that might not be a
problem and i might get a 6800 Gt by then PCIE and maybe another to do
SLI :)

Ive got some OCZ 3200 Ram pc 3200. Would their be any reason to buy
some faster ram for the new cpu. pc 4200,5000 ect whatever ?

One thing though how has the 64bit Microsoft OS coming along ?? has it
matured driver wise. Also the video and chipset drivers will i be ok
int hat regard. Iwill need a 64bit os to get any advantage out of the
64bit chip i would think :p

Thanks all.

Anything else i missed please ad it.

Bye.

Take a small loss and get a PCI-e video card.Sell the AGP. AFAIK, there are
one or two motherboards that have both AGP and PCI-E but the performance
isn't great.
What's your budget by the way. Dual CPU's aren't going to be cheap and
there may be issues for early adopters.
Your ram is still good. There will be a change to either DDR2 or DDR3 within
a year to 18 months. Intel already uses DDR2. AMD was hoping to skip it and
go to DDR3 but it's not coming fast enough.
BTW,if you do sell your GT I might be interested.
