Within the last week, my system has been infected with
spyware/adware that brings any active IE window updates
to a screeching halt. By that I mean when I attempt to
scroll, hover over a web-link, etc. the screen takes
forever to update. I know this is NOT a connection issue
because:
1) I'm on broadband cable.
2) I'm using the latest equipment including:
AMD Athlon 3500+
2GB RAM
74GB free on boot drive (C
WinXP Pro with the latest SP2/IE6 etc.
3) I can stream CD quality audio with no interuptions.
I've scanned my system with the latest utilities such as
SpyBot,AdAware and Norton Antivirus. No viruses or
adware found.
Any ideas? If not, is there a site that lists suspect
processes (to watch for) in the task mgr?
