Hi All,
I'm a networking amateur. I just installed Win2003Server/Standard and
shared a folder with permissions for Everyone allowed for Change and
Read.
When I check the server's Microsoft Windows Network | Workgroup |
MyWorkstation, I see the shares on the workstation. Also, I can
created, edit and save a document in one of the workstation's shared
folders.
However, when I check Microsoft Windows Network | Workgroup on the
workstation (WinXP-Pro/SP2), I only see the workstation and not the
server. Moreover, I can see the document on the workstation which I
previously created while operating on the server.
I then tried to explicitly add my workstation user account to the share
on the server, but I couldn't figure out how to name the workstation
user account nor how to browse for it from the server end.
Any ideas?
Thanks in Advance,
Richard
