I own an Epson Stylus Photo 820 and when the cartridges aren't clogged,
which is not often I'm afraid, it is the best ink jet photo printer I have
ever seen, period. I have owned several Epson ink jets and with the
exception of my first, a Stylus Color 500, they have all had serious
problems with the cartridges. I use only Epson factory original cartridges,
no refills or remanufactured cartridges. The 820 blows HP, Canon and
Lexmark printers, of similar price, out of the water. Unfortunately, the
problems with clogged nozzles far outweigh the performance of the printer
and I find myself now considering an HP ink jet. Too bad, as the Epson's
are by far the best photo printers on the market as far as print quality is
concerned.
