I have a new PC & am trying to move my old mail files to the new PC. The old
PC has Windows XP and MSOutlook, the new PC has Vista & Windows mail. Can
someone tell me how to do this?

If you really mean Outlook, and not Outlook Express:
1. Install Outlook on your new computer
Copy the .pst file to the new computer
Open the .pst file with Outlook.
In Windows Mail, File - Import - Messages - Microsoft Outlook
or- keep using Outlook, as it's probably better than WM

-OR-
2. Take the .pst file to a computer running Outlook and Outlook Express.
Import the .pst files into Outlook Express
export the messages to .dbx
take the .dbx files to the new computer
Import the .dbx files.

Thanks for the help. The old one is Outlook (not Express). I successfully
exported to .dbx & moved the .dbx files to the new computer, however it
doesn't recognize the files for import. Any ideas?

I would prefer using Outlook proper on the new computer, however didn't feel
it was worth the additional cost.

When importing, when you navigate to the folder containing the .dbx files,
do not open the folder.

If you open the folder, then the path becomes incorrect.
ie. if you have the .dbx files in C:\Temp, if you open the folder the path
to it will show C:\Temp\Temp which is incorrect.
