New (Old) Network Icon Please

The Network Icon with Animation turned 'ON' is a poor indicator at best.
Microsoft, please give us the clearly obvious activity Icon from past Windows
versions. At least the option of the old Icon. Drag it out of the closed at
add it to an Update.

It may be unfortunate, but you're pissing into the wind. Most of the readers
here aren't even using the web interface, usenet doesn't support voting and
suggestions, and Microsoft doesn't care what we say here one way or the
other.

There's two reasons for that. Firstly, this isn't a closed corporate network
like the Apple forums. Secondly, a few hundred (or even thousand) votes on a
newsgroup is a horrible representation of the community.

This probably won't change in this release of Vista. But you could try
submitting it for the next release of Windows.
