New Monitor

I've added a new Viewsonics LCD Monitor. My computer (Presario 6000) seems
to be working fine but when it shuts down an error message flashes on the
monitor, "RBG no input signal" How do I fix this? Thanks

There's nothing to fix. When the computer shuts down, the monitor is no
longer receiveng a signal from it. The monitor (not the computer) is just
telling you that.

That's normal. The computer shuts down before the monitor so the
monitor gives the message that it is receiving no "RGB Signal" from the
computer, then it goes into power save mode. When it receives signal
from the computer it wakes up again. While the computer is shut down if
you power off and then power on the monitor again you will get the same
message before it goes into power save again.

Turn it back on again, if it happens again when shutting down...turn it back
on again...repeat over and over.

Sorry couldn't resist!

It's normal don't worry about it.

It's not an error; there's nothing to fix. It's your monitor telling
you that it's no longer receiving a signal from the shut-down computer.

I take it your replacing a CRT monitor. I recommend you look at
'ClearType'. This is MS's font tweaking program, which gives it's best
results on an LCD. You can turn it off if you so desire.

Has nothing to do with the OP's problem.....

The OP has no problem anyway. I was just pointing out a utility that may be
useful after just switching to an LCD monitor.

It makes a huge difference on some LCD screens.
